AB: new branch in Mexico
In wake of AB’s international vision, which was also confirmed as a world leader in the cogeneration sector in 2015, the opening a new subsidiary of AB ENERGY MÉXICO S. DE RL DE C.V. in Mexico City is recent news.
In 2015 the energy market scenario in Mexico, with its deep connections to the economy in general, was subject to a special reform that led to the liberalization of the fossil fuel market and the electricity market. The new energy sector will therefore experience major development as early as this year. Furthermore, a significant expansion of the natural gas grid is expected, with the addition of about 10,000 km of new infrastructure.
Cogeneration, which is defined as clean energy under Mexican law, will be the second most important energy production technology in terms of installed capacity after wind power and will represent a quarter of all sustainable energy produced in Mexico. This scenario and the growth of sectors such as greenhouses and biogas from waste in which AB is a leader, are remarkable growth opportunities for AB Energy México, in particular considering the technological effectiveness and uniqueness of the Company’s offer (product range, quality, modularity) as well as the opportunity to assist clients at every stage, from engineering of solutions to customer service.
“AB’s kick off for 2016 sends the ball even further into the future” states Angelo Baronchelli, founder and president of AB. “Our contact with tomorrow has already begun and the company is already looking to 2020 starting from the certainty and uniqueness that has made us world leaders in the sector: our team, our values and flagship products such as Ecomax. After years of great international expansion that include the recent opening of AB ENERGY MÉXICO, it is now time to consolidate leadership through work, passion, sacrifice and involvement which every one of the nearly 600 AB employees will continue to give in order to feel part of a company that, thanks to everyone’s contribution, can face the challenges that await them with confidence.”
