BIOCH4NGE® upgrades biogas to pipeline-quality RNG with a membrane-based system that maximizes methane recovery while reducing energy consumption and operating costs.
The process begins with biogas purification to remove water and pollutants using a bed of activated charcoal. The purified biogas then passes through a high-efficiency membrane upgrading system that separates methane from carbon dioxide, producing RNG with specifications for injection, transportation fuel or industrial use.
With a modular and scalable design, BIOCH4NGE® delivers reliable, continuous operation across commercial and industrial biogas and RNG applications.
BIOCH4NGE® is available in standardized sizes covering a wide range of incoming biogas flow rates, from 50 to 5,000 Nm³/h, and can be integrated with modules dedicated to RNG liquefaction and CO₂ valorization. Custom configurations can also be developed to meet specific plant requirements.
BIOCH4NGE® uses advanced membrane technology with selective permeability to efficiently separate methane and carbon dioxide. The system’s multi-stage membrane process is designed to maximize methane capture, meet pipeline-quality RNG specifications and minimize emissions.
The BIOCH4NGE® control system continuously adjusts operating conditions to optimize performance and energy efficiency across varying loads. The process takes place without chemicals or consumable materials, helping reduce complexity and long-term maintenance costs.
