Thanks to an in-depth knowledge of the production processes in the mining sector, AB is able to study flexible solutions that meet the customer's operational needs, ensuring maximum plant availability in terms of the total number of hours.
The AB solutions respond to a need in the mining sector: the processing of methane gas, present in coal mines both as free gas, coming from fractures or released as a result of breakdowns, and as gas absorbed on the internal surface of the carboniferous rock and of the surrounding rocks.
AB enables companies that operate in this sector to control and manage it, turning it into an opportunity: thanks to AB it can be exploited through cogeneration if extracted from the air of the mine to improve safety, prevent uncontrolled leaks into the atmosphere and reduce the risk of gas explosions.
In particular, it can be used as a fuel for cogeneration plants fueled by gas generated by mining operations, with the consequent production of electrical and thermal energy.
AB plants produce electricity to be sold to the network or for the needs of the mining site and thermal energy for the cooling circuit and daily operations (hot water, district heating).
