AB and Galbani, market leaders united by energy efficiency

In consideration of the very high electricity and heat energy requirements of production processes, and in order to rationalise the use of fossil fuels with the consequent energy savings and improvement of the environment in terms of greenhouse gases, Galbani, part of the Lactalis Italia Group – undisputed leader in the dairy produce market – has installed three AB CHP plants at the production sites in Cortelona (Pavia), Giussago (Pavia) and the Lacto Siero site in Bozzolo (Mantua).
Activity of the Galbani plant in Corteolona is focused on the production and packaging of mozzarella, gorgonzola, confectionery products for desserts, ricotta and whey concentrate. The plant from the ECOMAX® Natural Gas range (ECOMAX® 33HE) is fuelled by natural gas and is a modular container solution with total nominal power at full charge of 3,349 kWe and total thermal power input of 7,642 kW.
The ECOMAX® 14NGS plant is fuelled by natural gas and is a modular container solution with total nominal power at full charge of 1,489 kWe and total thermal power input of 3,572 kW.
The plant at the Lacto Siero site, Lactalis Group, in Bozzolo is an ECOMAX® 20HE fuelled by natural gas and is a modular container solution with total nominal power at full charge of 2,004 kWe and total thermal power input of 4,447 kW.
