COGENERATION IN THE DAIRY INDUSTRY: 24-HOUR ENERGY FOR THE PRODUCTION OF MORE THAN 37 MILLION LITERS PER YEAR. THE CASE OF THE MUKKI MUNICIPAL DAIRY

COMPANY

The Mukki Milk Plant collects about 37 million liters of milk from approximately 140 Tuscan farms annually, distributing them to more than 12,000 sale points across the area between Liguria and Lazio.

REQUIREMENT

Mukki is an industrial reality that pays as much attention to workers and environment, as it does to energy saving and environmental protection. For its new Novoli plant, Mukki wished to have a solution which optimized electricity, steam and hot water supplies.

SOLUTION

AB recommended the ECOMAX® 14 NGS system. We integrated the new system with existing structures thanks to a detailed feasibility study which focused, in particular, on steam flows with an exchanger for hot water recovery. Channeling was ensured by the creation of a pipe rack (with grouping in a single bundle) for supplying hot water, heat and electricity in a mutually independent but integrated way.
